—  About

Natalia Goldstein is a singer-songwriter, composer, and violinist originally from San Diego, California.

She began studying classical violin at the age of 4 with Shu Xing Quintero. Quintero would remain her teacher for 13 years until she enrolled at Boston University in the College of Fine Arts. There, she studied Classical Violin Performance with Yuri Mazurkevich for one year. She then transferred to Berklee College of Music and became the recipient of a Berklee Performance Scholarship, the Berklee Writing and Composition Scholarship, and the Barnes & Noble Books and Materials Award. She pursued a degree in Professional Music with concentrations in performance, songwriting, film scoring, and composition.

While at Berklee, she studied with Mimi Rabson, Sharan Leventhal, and Sandra Kott.  She was also a member of ensembles led by Eugene Friesen (Berklee World Strings), Chelsey Greene, Gus Sebring, Barbara Lefitte, Julius Williams, and Darol Anger. Natalia has explored many different styles of music on the violin including jazz, pop, rock, celtic, folk, and fiddling. She also began playing in orchestra pits for musical theater productions. She was also contracted to play in hundreds of film scoring recording sessions. In the spring of 2016, she, along with Sandra Choephel (viola) and Casey Murray (cello), formed the fiddle/folk string trio Noria. In addition to her studies on violin, she studied piano all throughout her childhood, and is a self-taught guitarist and singer.

Natalia is also moving forward as a singer/songwriter. As of February 2018, she became the winning songwriter for the Berklee Revelation Records 2018 Compilation Album with her song "Close Again."
